Saturn is up all night
Galaxies of Pegasus coming into view!
Best time for dark sky object hunting and astrophotos!
Although only about 6 meteors per hour, the shower will peak when the Moon is 29% full, so moonlight will present minimal interference
Science target: Europa!
Look for Venus, which will have brightened to an incredible -4.0 magnitude. It can be located above Scorpius’ famous orange-color “heart,” the star Antares. With an unobstructed horizon, the pair can be seen low in the southwest at around 6:00 P.M.
All of these will be as bright as Venus!

- Oct. 18 @6:09AM-6:15AM : SW to ENE

- makes a pass within arc minutes of Jupiter and just as bright!!
Oct. 24 @5:44AM – 5:49AM : WSW to E
- as bright as Jupiter and makes a pass within arc minutes of Jupiter, Mars and might even transit the Moon!!
