John took this on April 29 of this year from his deck in light polluted Hudson MA,  with a Unistellar EV-2 Telescope.

M16 is a young open star cluster located in the constellation Serpens, best known for being embedded within the Eagle Nebula. This region of active star formation is approximately 7,000 light-years away from Earth and features the iconic “Pillars of Creation,” towering columns of gas and dust captured in detail by the Hubble Space Telescope. The nebula’s dense clouds serve as stellar nurseries, where new stars are born from collapsing material.
